2) 10 to 12 per cent of people are left-handed. Various studies have shown lefties to be more affected by fear, angrier, more inhibited, and they may have an advantage in politics. I wonder how many angry, shy, scared politicians they found to take part in these studies!

3) The ancient Romans used tickling as a torture! Oh no, here comes Julius Maximus with his feather again … I’m sooo scared.

4) Early in Beethoven’s life, his music teacher once said about him, “As a composer, he is hopeless.” Well, IN YOUR FACE music teacher … who is the hopeless one now? Loser!

5) A young Walt Disney was once fired by a newspaper because he “lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” See above for childish exclamation of revenge and pleasure at sticking it to the man.

6) The origin of the phrase “stick it to the man” dates back to the late 19th century in the underworld of the southern U.S. states. The “man” was later used to signify any figure of authority, but originally meant the police and prison wardens.  To “stick it to him” meant to rebel or fight back against that authority. Yeah man, far out.

7) The most people ever lifted and thrown in the air in two minutes is twelve. Former World’s Strongest Woman, Aneta Florczyk from Poland achieved this strange feat in 2008. What is wrong with lifting weights? Why the need to throw people? It’s just silly. Don’t tell her I said that though!

8) The largest gathering of people dressed as Peter Pan was organized by Great Ormond Street hospital in London in 2010. 5,206 people at schools across the UK participated. If you ask me I think they all need to grow up!

9) The most people performing a simultaneous high five was 1,790 at Guelph University in Canada in 2006. Those crazy guys! Don’t they know the high five is, like, so 1995?

10) There are many claims for the origin of the high five, but the most credible is that it occurred between Dusty Baker and Glenn Burke of the LA Dodgers baseball team on Oct. 2, 1977. Burke was also one of the first openly “out” homosexual professional athletes, and as a result the high five became a symbol of gay pride in San Francisco at the time.

11) In 2009, 417.2 million votes were cast in the Indian general election, becoming the largest election ever. Imagine having to count that one … “four hundred and seventeen million, one hundred and ninety nine thousand, six hundred and …. where was I? Better start again.

12) Mongolia is the most sparsely populated country on earth with only 5 people for every square mile. At least you wont get annoyed by the neighbors throwing loud parties, although you probably wouldn’t be invited to many either!

13) Jesus is the 92nd most popular boys name in the U.S. That is either a symbol of an increasingly multinational society, or an increase in the number of parents actually believing that they are god!

14) The popularity of the name Britney peaked in 2000 when it became the 139th most popular girls name in the U.S. Any guesses why? Weirdly the number of people applying to have their name changed DID NOT increase in 2007 when a certain celebrity shaved her head and was admitted to rehab!

15) Julius Caesar’s autograph is reported to be worth two million dollars even though nobody has ever found one. Wait a minute … I think I saw one of those … just a second …J-u-l-i-u-s-C-a-e-s-a-r… yes I did, I have it here, where’s my two million?
